If you have been following me for a while now, you would have known that we are focusing more on learning geography these days.
After having learnt about our city, Indian states and our country, it was time for us to plunge to learn about other continents.
And that’s how we got this Australian box from Scotty’s Wander Quest.
As much as I like to make lesson plans for my son, I love it when things are made easier for me.
They curate the box with all that is needed to learn about a continent. These are ideal for 6-12 years old.
What my son loved in the box:
1.The little pretend play passport with his own boarding pass.
2.The coloring sheets which had a Santa on it (obviously 😉)
3.The world map poster which we stuck on our walls.
4.The DIY boomerang which was easy to make and the fun he had when he threw it.
5.The small booklet which is fact packed.
What I liked:
1.How I could use the passport for bookkeeping while we learn about other countries.
2.The world map poster which is going to stay for a long time in our house. We will use it as a reference material for our future studies.
3.The small book that came along with the box. It has a wonderful page about the food known in Australia. What a lovely chance to look for the recipe and make it 😊
They do have an assortment of some interesting countries like Australia, Brazil, Italy, Japan, USA, Egypt.
We did receive the Australia box and I have been eyeing on their Egypt box to learn next.
When you order for the first time they send you a tool box which has everything needed to gear your geography unit study.
The travel boxes come in next one at a time- spacing the learning out for your little one.
I personally think it makes for a wonderful birthday gift to elementary grade children.
So are you going to gift one now? Go ahead and check out their website.
Choose from their single box, 3 – month or 6 the month subscription. Gift the love of traveling 🙂
