There is much you could do with these simple pattern blocks. The ones that I have at home is a 125 piece set which is a mock design of Melissa and Doug block set.
These are versatile and can be used in many activities that I could think of. Pinterest is loaded with such activities. Click here.
For my toddler, we did a simple sequence activity. I cut the a4 sheet into horizontal sheets to not overwhelm the child. Click here for the printable.
For my 6-year-old, I gave some complex patterns. He was able to finish them easily. But it was time consuming, given the number of sheets. Definitely works for a rainy day when you need to spend loads of time indoors. Click here.
Also these symmetry match. Ideally I would have loved to use a mirror for symmetry concepts. I do not have an extra mirror for play activities. So I had to make do with what I have.Click here
Again there were many sheets that came with this free download. We do it one day at a time:-) There are ones with the outline and the ones without it(the later being challenging). Click here.
If you do not have these pattern blocks, I highly recommend you to buy one now. Click here to check for the price 🙂
