Frozen Dinosaur Eggs

January 21, 2019 by Melani Leave a Comment

Okay, I don’t have the prettiest pictures of this activity. It was spontaneous and we kept extending this activity from one version to another.

Plus, this frozen dinosaur is like a classic killer activity. I could see it being a part of every children’s home – because, it is easy and super fun.Terrific combination, right?

Just that you need to freeze the balloons overnight. I am telling you this – otherwise your excited 5 year old will have you open the fridge door a hundred times to check if it is frozen already 😉.

Anyways, the night before this happened – we discussed the possible ways of melting this egg ice.

My 5-year-old came up with brilliant ideas like just putting them under the sun, adding water to it, pouring hot water etc.,

But it isn’t over yet. We discussed if the ice eggs would float or sink when we put them in our sensory bin. He said it would sink unlike ice cubes because the eggs are heavy compared to ice cubes. Smart thinking batman 😊

For those thinking about the ice cubes – they float when added to coca-colas .

Try out this activity okay. No matter what age, your little one is going to love it.
