5 Reasons why You Should Place Your Books Front Facing

November 21, 2017 by Melani 11 Comments

Have you ever thought of why front facing books are the best?

Without much ado, lets get on to the reasons

1. The image on the book covers are seen instead of the booksโ€™ side view. It makes picking a book easier instead of surfing for the books.

2. The front facing looks tidier, inviting and there is more probability children will pick up those books.

3. You can place only a limited number of books and that way there is very little distraction on their minds.

4. Makes it easier for the parents to know what books are picked often and buy more based on their interests.

5. Easier for the parents to rotate the book collection. This way all the books are put to use.

How are the books placed in your homes? Want to have a quick check? Is it front facing? More power to the reader.

Now it is time to put back my book in the shelf, front facing ๐Ÿ™‚ Ciao

Agree completely. I have started to put my kid’s books front facing recently and they are so much easier to use and organize. They also look very inviting like you have mentioned in your article.

Yes front facing all the way. I agree with all the reasons ๐Ÿ™‚ My son can easily go and pick up his choice due to this.

Wow.. Dint really think of that. I always kept it sideways to be able to read the title and of course blaming it on the space constraints. Need to work this out. ๐Ÿ™‚

Absolutely agree with you on all your points. And I’ve been eyeing LFAW’s handy bookshelves for a while now!

Such a small display change will definitely go a long way. Especially when the race is all about raising a reader.

Yes front facing absolutely. We have a lovely shelf which stocks about 12 to 15 books front facing. It has been a boon. BTW when are these shelves coming back in stock? ๐Ÿ˜‰
